BOND'S MEMORIES -
TELEVISION SHOWS & PROGRAMS
BACK TO BOND'S MEMORIES MAIN PAGE
There have been MANY, MANY television shows & programs that I grew up with and sadly, most are no longer shown as
reruns & in many cases are not found on dvd or video either. So I have attempted to scour the internet searching for the occasional website or page containing some information on these bygone shows.
ENJOY!!!!
My memory: I remember coming home from school every single day, to quickly do my homework & then plop down in front of the television set to watch 3 shows in a row...Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, The Electric Company & 3-2-1 Contact. In fact, I always remembered feeling somewhat sad when the show ended knowing that I had a "long time" before the next day to see it again. I was overjoyed to see the release of the dvd sets...I was able to have acquired 1 of them, and I watch it every so often to bring back the joys that The Electric Company instilled in me.
The first show is THE ELECTRIC COMPANY. It was an educational series that was shown on PBS. The series lasted 6 seasons, from October 25th, 1971 - April 15, 1977. There were about 780 episodes shown. The series featured such well known actors & actresses as Bill Cosby, Rita Moreno, Morgan Freeman, Joan Rivers & Gene Wilder. The show continued in reruns from 1977 - 1985. There were several dvd boxsets released in 2006 featuring about 20 uncut episodes per set.

Next up is 3-2-1 CONTACT. It was an educational science series that was shown on PBS. The series lasted from January 14th, 1980 - November 18, 1988. There were about 225 episodes & 8 specials shown.  The show continued in reruns from 1989 - 2003. It also featured a detective segment entitled "The Bloodhound Gang" in which the 3 young detectives used science to solve the mystery.

My memory: I remember coming home from school every single day, to quickly do my homework & then plop down in front of the television set to watch 3 shows in a row...Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, The Electric Company & 321 Contact. In fact, I always remembered feeling somewhat sad when the show ended knowing that I had a "long time" before the next day to see it again. I particularly remembered dying to see The Bloodhound Gang segments...they were always way too short and I remember thinking that it took forever before the next part would air. Still to this day, I make a regular pilgrimage to Youtube to view the opening songs & an occasional episode...I really learned alot from watching 3-2-1 Contact.
"3-2-1 Contact is the secret,
It's the moment when everything happens..."

"Whenever there's trouble,
we're there on the double.
We're the Bloodhound Gang.
If you've got the crime,
we've got the time.
We're the Bloodhound Gang."
